PROGRAMME NOTES

A world built from friction

The strongest contrast is between the vulnerable body and the industrial environment around it. Heavy surfaces, cramped spaces and a cold palette make the factory feel hostile before the action begins. The short format gives the confrontation urgency: the film has to establish a place, a need and a threat almost at once. Watch how small gestures carry character in the middle of the machinery.

Charge: a performance, built in layers

A progression study by Rik Schutte. Compare the broad intention of the movement with the details that make the final character feel present.

Charge: building the factory

A matte progression by Andy Goralczyk. Watch the environment gain depth, atmosphere and a direction for the eye.
